Payments are what the XRP Ledger was built for: moving value from one account to another in about 4 seconds, for a fee of a fraction of a cent. You can send XRP itself, tokens issued on the ledger, or even pay in one currency while the other person receives another.
Sending XRP is like handing someone cash — direct and final. A cross-currency payment is like paying a hotel abroad with your home-currency card: you spend dollars, they receive euros, and the exchange happens automatically in the middle.Start here: Send XRP
Send XRP
Send XRP to another account, with optional destination tag and memo. Amount is entered in XRP and converted to drops.
Send Issued Token
Send an issued token (IOU) to a destination that holds a trust line for it.
Cross-Currency Payment
Pay in one currency while the destination receives another, converted through the DEX. Supports partial payments and explicit paths.
Path Find Quote
Find viable payment paths and cost for a cross-currency payment before sending it (ripple_path_find).
