02Why you'd use it
Testnet XRP is worthless play money on a network that behaves exactly like the real one. It is how you learn, test, and build everything on this platform without risking a cent.
03How
- 1Make sure you are on testnet (the platform's default — this tool does not exist on mainnet).
- 2Run it: the faucet funds your connected wallet, or creates and funds a fresh one for you.
- 3Note the address and balance returned, then try Account Info on your new address — your first query on your own account.
Watch out
- Testnet XRP has zero real-world value and cannot be moved to mainnet — ever. Anyone offering to 'convert' it is scamming you.
- The testnet is periodically reset, wiping all accounts and balances — never keep anything you care about there.
- Testnet seeds and mainnet seeds are the same format: never paste a mainnet seed into anything labeled test.
- Faucets are rate-limited; if it declines, wait a bit and try again.

It is your first minute on the platform. You hit the faucet, get a funded testnet wallet with test XRP, and thirty seconds later you have sent your first payment and looked it up by hash — total real-world cost: nothing.
