Release an escrow to its destination. For conditional escrows, supply the condition and its fulfillment.

What

Releases a ready escrow, delivering the locked XRP to its destination. Anyone can submit it — not just the sender or recipient.

Why you'd use it

Escrows do not pay out on their own. This is the trigger pull once the release time has passed (or you hold the secret for a conditional one).

How

Enter the Escrow Creator's address (Owner) — who made the escrow.
Enter the Escrow Sequence — the sequence number of the original create transaction (find it via Account Objects or a transaction lookup).
For a conditional escrow, paste both the Condition and the secret Fulfillment.
Submit and confirm tesSUCCESS — the XRP lands at the destination immediately.

Watch out

Finishing before the release time fails with tecNO_PERMISSION — and the fee is still burned. Check the clock first.
If a cancel time has already passed, the escrow may no longer be finishable.
Submitting the fulfillment reveals it publicly — anyone could finish the escrow with it afterward, which is fine, since the funds can only ever go to the fixed destination.
Wrong sequence number means 'escrow not found' — it is the create transaction's sequence, not the escrow's index.

For example

The advisor's one-year vesting escrow matured yesterday. They enter the founder's address and the escrow's sequence number, submit, and the 5,000 XRP arrives in their account seconds later.
