Bid LP tokens for the AMM's 24-hour auction slot, which grants discounted trading fees. Optionally authorize extra accounts on the slot.

What

Bids LP tokens in the pool's rolling 24-hour auction. The winner holds the 'auction slot' and trades against this pool at one tenth of the normal fee.

Why you'd use it

Heavy traders and arbitrage bots profit from cheaper trading. If you trade a pool hard, winning its slot can cost less than the fees you would otherwise pay.

How

Identify the pool: Asset 1 and Asset 2 with issuers.
Find the pool's LP token and the current slot price with AMM Pool Info (auction_slot in the response).
Optionally set Max Bid as a JSON amount of LP tokens to cap what you pay.
Optionally list up to 4 Authorized Accounts (JSON array) that share your discount.
Submit and confirm tesSUCCESS — the discount applies immediately for up to 24 hours.

Watch out

You pay in LP tokens, so you must be a liquidity provider in this pool first.
Someone can outbid you and take the slot; you are refunded a portion of your bid based on the time left.
The paid LP tokens are returned to the pool itself — effectively a bonus to the remaining liquidity providers.
Do the math first: the discount only pays off if your 24-hour trading volume is large enough.

For example

Your arbitrage bot trades an XRP/USD pool dozens of times a day. Paying 80 LP tokens for the slot cuts your fee from 0.5% to 0.05% — the discount saves more than the bid costs by mid-afternoon.
